based off a mine and call it "Goldfish Gulley"
An amusement park named "Krakenland"
Based off a Wild West ghost town named "Seahorse Providece"
A futuristic floating city called "Skydish Reef"
And then bring in Rapture from the Bioshock games for me epic...

I think Seto was just trying to argue to not approach the game as one would with Smash. It's the legitimate concern as they are obviously two different types of games but with an obviously shared fan base. We don't know what to expect from the competetive value of game so it's easiy...

I think that competetive shooter experience will help and that this game will require teamwork and coordination as well as strategy. Coming from TF2, ME3 and L4D; it will be important to form a squad that works well together and complements each others skills. Maybe I've been harping on it too...
The theme song reminded me of a 90's Nickelodeon tv show. The squid motif reminded me of some tentacle hentai I wished I unsaw. The colors reminds me of post-post modernism. The gameplay reminds me of TF2 meets Mario Paint SpongeBob meets Rugrats meets Nintendo. Overall, everything drew me...
This game is basically Smash with a different logo and a different coat of paint. Same bells and whistles with a gimmicky squid motif. It's been done before in Mario and Zelda and is just a rehash of the same formula. So it's 5ma5h.
I think Splatoon will pull a lot from the Smash community but I think it'll be important to differentiate the two. Competetive Smash will not translate well to competetive Splatoon for obvious reasons. They are two vastly different games with Splatoon focusing on teamwork and group strategy. I...

I agree that picking whatever you want is part of the fun. However, in a more competetive setting, weapon load out and squad balancing as well as teamwork will become much more important and integral to success.
