@Bennet hmm I dunno, you'd probably have to ask the organizers. I imagine you would need an ethernet adaptor and then some kind of hardware to make the switch lite connect to/function with the ethernet adaptor since I don't think you can mix local communication and LAN communication (maybe I'm wrong though)
the shoal is one way I can do local without a LAN cable and there's no possible way to connect a switch lite with a LAN cable (I think, I got this source from my brother)
@Bennet hmm according to Nintendo Support it is possible (see here) but you need to buy extra hardware for it: the switch ethernet adaptor and a USB hub of some kind so that it can connect to the switch lite
And yeah you can use local communication at the shoal, but I think since everyone at LAN events will be on LAN connection, you'll need to be on LAN connection too in order to play with them. But again I might be wrong, you'd have to ask the organizers probably. Maybe there are some other people who also use local wireless (but LAN is better/more stable so people prefer that)
