Community Splatfest Strategy

Should the Squidboards community agree on a side that we all pick during Splatfests so we have a better chance of getting the award? Or would that take away from the fun of the competiton?

Just let people choose what they want to choose. You will still get Sea Snails for participating. Just that the winning team gets an extra one.

Awww, man, please don't do that. One side will generally be lopsided as it is already, and stacking the odds even more would ruin the entire point of even having a competition.

Just let people play, okay? You'll get way more sea snails out of participating and doing well, so you can just consider the extra for winning a bonus.

but yes, if everyone wants to get the maximum amount of sea snails possible, they should try to align with the choice of most members to maximize their odds

you could argue that it's sort of immoral behavior, and i'd have to agree with that, but min/maxing your gear has shown to be pretty important in splatoon. competitively, the sea snails & spyke might not make a big impact considering that the sub abilities underneath the primary one are random, but if you're playing alone in turf wars or ranked battles i would understand someone wanting the biggest advantage possible
