Do You Enjoy Squid Surfing Around Teams, in General?

I've found I'm more often using the walls to quickly fly in the air and land behind my opponent, or do laps to confuse and escape or ambush the other team, in almost every map. I came to this realization when the heights were unlocked, since almost every surface in that stage is traversable.

Aside from being a very effective tactic, it's also very fun to see how much distance you can get swimming around different surfaces, or launching farthest from walls while still escaping, etc.

Anyone else finding that mechanic fun on it's own (aside from that first time you pick the game up)?

(PS: Title should've had a forward slash instead of a comma, but sometimes my posts interpret an enter as submit. oh well.)

I have never done this but this post makes me consider the tactical advantages of such things.
Brilliant.

I'm a defensive player, so I usually don't try to flank enemies. That said, I did try a nice trick the other day in Flounder Heights where I was over a grating and recharged ink by hanging on the wall next to me :ability_inkrecovery:

I do it much more rarely than I wish, but I do try and cover walls for team mates in case they need it. It is so much fun to traverse in Splatoon, but I hate when a tiny tiny tiny thin dot of enemy ink prevents you from climbing a surface or when in tower control you try and climb on the tower but it moves so fast the second you get on that you fall off or when the tower is in a weird place and you get trapped either between a wall and the tower and glitches the camera or being caught inside the bloody tower by accidentally clipping through it.

As a Brush user I make sure to leave lots of ink trails for my teammates to use. Up walls. onfiddly architecture that can be swum around, that kind of thing.

So I've been convinced after giving myself like 2 Swim Speed Up main gear that your normal swim speed without any gear is too slow.

I'm a spoiled kid now!

...I've never intentionally annoyed people by swimming around them and stuff. I wanna do that.
