Down 20 points in rank and didn't play...

I played Tower Contol this afternoon, ended on a win with 58 points in my rank. I turned it on 20 minutes ago and I had 38 points. My family remembered my score so it's not just a mistaken memory on my part.

This is made extra frustrating because even though I had been playing really well, probably my best ever, I was still losing every Tower Control game (due to non favourable team matching) and so losing 20 points for no reason is really frustrating. Now I'm down about '100' points just since this afternoon.

how are you quitting out of the game? Are you waiting until you get to the screen that asks you if you want to keep playing or are you just turning off your console when you're done playing? Because the second one counts as a disconnect and will lower your score

I always wait until the points are awarded/deducted. I'm not entirely sure when I turned it off but not any sooner than I normally do. Even if I hadn't, I've only received 8 point deductions for the occasional disconnects (which is annoying too, though I understand why). Has anyone ever lost 20?

That sounds peculiar. I would advise going forward, that you turn off your system after returning to the plaza. That's the safest way to ensure everything will be saved. Sorry to hear about that, I would be very annoyed if I lost that many points that were probably so rewarding to get.

Thanks for the advice. I'll make sure I'm not careless about when I turn it off. Though I feel like it was something else. I was hoping maybe someone else had experienced it and would have an idea.

The later gaming session had really bad networks issues. I doubt it's related but thought I'd mention it. Among other things, I saw an ink brush get splatted but continued to see a disembodied brush swinging back and forth and making sounds for about 5 seconds. It was ridiculous.

Hm, I don't know entirely if it's related, but that does sound like a bad bit of lag. I think I have had the game disconnect after the results screen before, is it possible that this happened to you? It'll just sit on the screen where you are awarded points for much longer than usual before giving you a communication error note or something, so you wouldn't have been able to choose whether to play again or not if it had happened. When it does, if I remember correctly, it doesn't award you the points you earned that match. Maybe if it counted it as a disconnect as well, that would make twenty...? Not entirely sure, but I guess it's an (iffy) possibility.
