hello inklings! i'm searching for an open group/squad to take me in preferrably something that doubles in being casual and competitive to help ease me in.
my name is emmet and i'll be turning 15 on august 9th. i use they/them pronouns. my time zone is utc-6:00 and im currently stationed in texas!
im level 49, rank b+ 42, and weapons i use the most are the inkbrush, the wasabi splattershot, and the slosher.
im not really the best at ranked battle, i must admit, and don't play a lot. but i would say my best ranked mode is splat zones or tower control. i really shine in turf war honestly, and that's mainly why i want to find a more casual squad so i can work up to competitive play.
my play style is pretty varied and i don't have a way to really describe it- with the inkbrush, i try to use it offensively, and other weapons i play defensively. im hoping i can improve my technique and brush up on my skills with weapons i want to use more often, like the heavy splatling.
i did have a group recently called cold-blooded, but i shut it down because my personal life was cutting into running the group and nobody could play together.
i have a lot of free time since it's summer vacation, so any weekday is perfectly fine, but around august 30th school starts up again and i'll only have saturdays. i will be gone this weekend (july 8-10) for a wedding and i think july 16-august 10th i'll be in colorado and im not sure if i can bring my wii u yet. i will have wi-fi there but some days i'll be out with my family, and those days aren't final.
i am comfortable with doing voice chat, but i'm hoping swearing is kept to a minimum. i can mostly tolerate shouting, but i don't really like that too much either- i'm autistic and my hearing is pretty sensitive. if anyone else is not too fond of loud talking, i do have to apologize because i also have difficulty controlling my speaking tone.
im hoping i can find a group and get started very soon! this isn't time sensitive, i just haven't played with a group before and i'm excited to start. this is the first time i'm wanting to join a functioning group and i hope to make some friends!
