Group joining Crisis

So I'm getting Splatoon this week, and from what I've played from the testfire I can say I'm pretty decent at the game. So...how do I go about joining a group? I'm kind of conflicted since only 3 or so people I know personally have the game irl.

I'm sorry for being vague but I honestly don't know how to go about asking/joining a group. If I happen to not be the only one with this issue then I hope this thread can be a help to others.

In game there is an option to invite or join friends in the tower(aka the multiplayer area), with whom you have swapped Nintendo ID's with. If by group you mean clan or..... a splatoon *rimsots*, then just need to look around the boards for those advertising for members and show yer interest. Then just do the same thing as you would from within the tower, and invite them or have invites from them.

Yea I meant the latter. Like I said I have no clue how to go about going in a group. I'd want to be in a friendly group with good players but I'd have no idea how they are. I don't want to turn into a "group hopper" if you catch my drift.

eh wouldn't worry that much, i'm sure if you just poked around down in the crispy calamari boards [here btw], you can find one of them that are looking for players, to let you in via a sort of trial to see if their atmosphere is right for ya. Some groups will mesh for ya, others won't. And long as yer up front bout that, then there shouldn't be any calls out for 'clan hopping'. Also if you haven't yet, you should post a quick little intro in the welcome center [here], and hopefully some people looking for members will try and get ya hooked up, or would like to hook up.

Oh, and if you just simply want to add a few people and ask for a few rounds outside of a clan, you can use the NNID sharing there [right here].

At least one or all of these things, can help you get yourself somewhere that you can call home. Best of luck.

Just join a group and join them in game is all. There's a few groups/clans/etc; on the forums. :p
