Hi, I'm a Smash bros. player and a Splatoon player, and I'm thinking about speedrunning Splatoon. I just beat the single player today (the final boss is the best boss battle ever btw) and have noticed a lot of little tips while learning the game that would come in handy during a speedrun. I have yet to master any sort of quick moving technique involving switching from squid form to human form rapidly as of yet, but that's something I plan on mastering over the summer. I also don't have a capture card yet, so I doubt I would start running it anytime soon, but I do plan on implementing these strategies into my multiplayer battle's as well.

That sounds an awesome idea. There's a couple of good techs that you may be interested in like squid jumping, which is inking, swimming, jumping and inking where you'll land, turning into a squid and swimming again, repeat. You essentially end up bouncing around in squid form making landing pools as you go.
