I've been playing Splatoon since the first one released on the Wii U. I'm not too big on competitive shooters but the control scheme and varied modes that don't have so much of a focus on twitch reflexes really pulled me in. I recently got a Switch because I just couldn't resist that Splatoon 2 bundle, and after a hiatus because of Mario I have been diving back into this game with the seriousness.
I'm pretty alright at Turf War; most of the time I'm in the top two on my team in area covered. But that's not everything, and that won't help in ranked, and after getting my butt handily handed to me a few too many times last night I started looking up more advanced play techniques, which led me here. A lot of the information available online can become confusing, as many resources assume you already know about certain techniques and I am honestly completely in the dark about a lot of this stuff. This seems like a great place to read up on what's established, talk to some folks to figure out what works best for me, and have some people to test it out with so I can be more effective as a team member.
I included a shot of my current Turf Wars setup. Keep in mind that I switch out my clothing regularly in non-ranked to unlock the extra perks so I have options in ranked battles (I'm assuming this is a normal thing).
I also love love love Salmon Run and would enjoy having some focused cohorts to collect eggs with.
Thanks for having me, feel free to add me with my friend code or NNID (send me a message if you add me on Wii U cause I don't log on much), and I'm looking forward to being part of the community!
