I would like to start of this thread by saying that I am very productive as a person when it comes to ideas for any game I really like.
I heard about the new bucket like weapon type coming in the next update and it hit me, buckets make a big splash when thrown so why not have a special ability where you can summon a huge wave of ink (otherwise known as the Ink Wave) to almost instantly splash a large area with your own ink while also killing any enemy players caught in the wave
Another great idea I came up with as they announced new online modes was a new game like turf wars or tower control, I call Capture the Flag. Just like a real capture the flag game, with a touch of ink.
Each teams goal is to get one of their inklings (who ever touches the flag first) to take their opponents flag which is located near their spawn point and take it back to their side for a point. So lets say a player gets the flag but is splatted along the way, well the team loses the flag and has to go back to retrieve it from their enemies clutches. If you happen to not be the one carrying the flag, then its best if you help the flag carrier reach their side without getting splatted.
If both teams are tied in points then its based on how far their latest flag carrier went to reaching their side and score a point, just like tower control. For example. A game where both teams have 3 points but one teams forth captured flag has reached about halfway to the other side compared to the team who just got their third point, team with fourth flag halfway wins.
The only time there would be overtime is when the winning team has yet to capture the opponents flag while the losing team is on its way to score a point and tie it up so they can have a chance to win if they can capture the flag again (but not take it back to their side, just capturing it) before the other team does. However if the losing teams flag holding player gets splatted or their opposing team captures their next flag during overtime, they will lose the game.
This game was idealy meant for both, ranked and regular battle mode only the overtime feature will be added with ranked battles.
Two cool map ideas would be one in a city and one that takes place on a battleship with mini runways and ramps
A sub weapon you throw that disables a players weapon for a very short time (3 seconds) 2 seconds after being thrown allowing you to possibly escape being splatted by someone that was chasing you. It also has the same effect radius as the splat bomb sub.
It could also be used as a special ability by being able to throw a bunch of them to slow the enemy down.
Like my ideas?
