If you want to keep playing Splatoon 1 and don’t want to mod your Wii U Pretendo released a version you can use by only changing your internet settings!!! https://pretendo.network/docs/install/wiiu I’m actually using it right now and it works great!!! :D

were you able to use an account you had already made on your wii u?
when i set mine up a while ago i needed a new account on the wii u to use it. i just learned earlier that you can’t transfer saves between accounts on the wii u (without mods) so this would be even more convenient option
