Initial Impressions of Spaltoon?

Now that Splatoon has been out for two days, I'd thought I'd ask: what are your initial impressions of Splatoon? The pros? The cons? What surprised you? Is there anything partically intriguing you found out? How do you play? etc.

I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of multiplayer content right now and don't like the map rotations at all. I also kinda felt the single player was a bit too short and easy. Other than that I'm having a good time.
