Is it just me or is S rank full of A/A+ ranked players now?

I put the game down for a while and came back while I wait to get Splatoon 2. Now that I am playing in S rank again, I feel like I am playing with and against A/A+ ranked players. I remember how frustrating it was to play through the A/A+ rank before because of all the bad players who either couldn't shoot, wouldn't do objective or would be behind enemy lines while the other team is about to dunk the RM. Once I arrived to S, a lot of that went away, not completely of course, but it was certainly better. Now, I feel like I am playing with those same A/A+ ranked players again. I am guessing that is because a lot of the competitive players went to Splatoon 2, so naturally, lower ranked players rose up in rank. Anyways, I was just curious if anyone else noticed the same thing.
