Is the story of this game...controversial?

I think they may have planned for Callie or Marie to "fall" (and we are not even entirely sure that is the case yet) earlier on after the original games launch, and ultimately decided to put it in our hands which one would. I really love this. Moving forward, we should take the decisions we make in our splat fests to heart as we have to think how it COULD shape the future of the lore and game.

Seriousness aside, it is controversial in a sense for the fandom. It is like how Sonic Adventure 2 pulled a dark turn, and made it like Sonic dies when in the end, he saves himself with a fake chaos emerald. Otherwise, it is a good controversial to happen, as I am saying. So your question regardless is a good open debate whether or not this is a bit extreme; it is and I love it.
My reaction to that was "Oh no. He died!"

I better not laugh at the reason why he's not. (I laughed my *** off)
