Why do you want to get better? And what keeps you motivated to getting better at splatoon

I want to get better so that I can play with my high ranked friends what whipe the floor with me and what keeps me motivated is that when you're a high ranked player you can do some really fun scrims and just have a lot of fun with those friends (been in a high ranked scrim but got rekt)
