Noone's posted this thread yet (although there have been more specific threads like "when playing to splatoon" and "video game music"), so I thought I might as well post it.
Music Thread
As a music lover and french horn player myself, I am greatly interested in what types of music people are interested in.

In this thread, you post any music that you are listening to now, that you have been listening to recently, is a favorite of yours or is a guilty pleasure. Don't be afraid to post any kind of music; you will not be judged, and there are bound to be people with similar interests. However, this thread isn't just for sharing your musical interests: if you see someone's musical picks and think they may like a song, feel free to tag them and say so! I encourage this because it can widen people's interests in music. If you see a song that you like, I encourage you to like the post and show your mutual interest.

Posting Rules

  • One post may be made every 24 hours. These can contain any number of songs and can be edited throughout the day. There is leeway on this (if its been almost a day it is usually okay to make a new post), just use a bit of common sense when posting. If you are a moderator and don't think it has been long enough (I will leave this to your discretion) feel free to delete the post after editing its contents into their previous post.
  • No flaming. Please respect that different people will have different musical interests to you and do not criticise people. Contrary to what you may think, you are not the authority on what counts as "good music." This is something that there is absolutely no leeway on, and if any moderators see it I encourage infraction.
  • No trolling. If the title of the video isn't the song that is heard, do not post it. I don't want to see any rick-rolling, trolling or John Cena memes floating around in this thread. These will be punished as hard as flaming.
  • You may comment on people's posts. This is actually something I encourage, as it shows that you have a mutual interest with another poster and it allows you to potentially build a positive relationship with another user on the forums. However, please refrain from posting one-liners if you can. These posts don't need to be long, but please be constructive with your posts to avoid cluttering the thread (basically, don't be that guy who posts something like "OMG THAT SONG YOU POSTED IS TOTALLY AMAZEBALLZ!!!111!!11!" if you don't want your post to be deleted).
  • If you post three or more songs, please put it in spoiler tags. Otherwise the posts get too big and they clutter the thread. If you don't know what I mean, I have put a spoiler below with the code inside it so that you know how to do it. and so that you know what it looks like.
Code:
[spoiler]content of spoiler[/spoiler] OR [spoiler=optional spoiler title]content of spoiler[/spoiler]
While not mandatory, explanations can often help give people an idea as to what they are about to listen to and can explain why you like a song.

That's all there is to say, so enjoy!

Now that I've got that out of the way, here are a few of the songs I've been listening to recently, as well as a guilty pleasure of mine :)
  • - First vocaloid song I heard, got me hooked on them.
  • - Another good vocaloid song, and an alternative J-rock classic.
  • - I never watched Kanon nor played the game (and I never plan to), but I still love this song.
  • - A depressingly little-known vocaloid song when you consider that it is easily one of the best :(
  • - Kraftwerk are amazing, and this is a great showcase of them as a band.
  • https://youtu.be/j0BFDaR5FZc - Good song about "learning" chinese to impress a boy. Surprisingly addictive.
  • https://youtu.be/kPYwXztvOYY - Addictive and out there. Another great vocaloid song.
  • https://youtu.be/vXSpdipuiFs - Shows off my interest in metal, and just a good listen overall.
  • https://youtu.be/N-uyWAe0NhQ - Madness are inconsistent, but I love this because it is so out there :)
  • https://youtu.be/NVY_gPRWAqc?list=PLJJKvAeu7rM0POtbAFPfBxUAB1pWMKFJb - Ace of Spades is an amazing piece of metal music, and one of Motörhead's best records. A must-listen.
  • https://youtu.be/EdLQw_h_2VA - This fast-paced rock love song performed by the vocaloid Miku. Surprisingly addictive.
  • https://youtu.be/zpHuG2hHmEo - One of the better sonic songs. A great listen.
  • https://youtu.be/3VHnFwVskl0 - While the game was awful, Sonic 06's soundtrack is something spectacular. Definitely give this a listen if you haven't already.
  • https://youtu.be/bl9dP0CJfbQ - Xenoblade Chronicles' soundtrack is spectacular. If you haven't listened to the whole thing yet, definitely do so because it is five hours of musical genius. If that sounds too long for you, download it onto your ipod or something and listen to on a long journey or just listen to bits of it whenever you get a chance.
  • https://youtu.be/3UzFJRmQoY4 - Pokemon is a great source of good music, and if I were to post all of the music from the series I liked this post would be 99% pokemon. Therefore, I opted to post something which represents both me and the series well. Pokemon Platinum was the first Pokemon game that I played, and IMO it has the best soundtrack out of any of the games in the main series. While ORAS, BW and BW2 give it strong competition, this game has always stuck out to me as having the best soundtrack in the series.
  • https://youtu.be/duPJqfKiA78 - This is just too unique for me to not like it :D
  • https://youtu.be/4om1rQKPijI - I love the Ievan Polkka. It is just such an addictive listen.
  • https://youtu.be/OPf0YbXqDm0 - Uptown Funk is a rare example of well-written western pop beyond around 2008, and it is the kind of song which gets stuck in your head. Great listen.
  • https://youtu.be/y6Sxv-sUYtM - This is a hard song to dislike because of just how upbeat and addictive it is.
  • httos://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ - Even if the internet has kinda ruined it, this is still a good song in its own right.
  • https://youtu.be/wZ1gEDquuyQ - Rin's version of Sweet Magic is a hugely addictive song, and the effect of the trumpets - especially in that solo in the middle - means that I will often be humming this for hours.
  • https://youtu.be/1k8craCGpgs - Don't Stop Believin' has won me three karaoke competitions, and it is just a great song overall.
  • https://youtu.be/6dl3HMYRFFI - This song featured as one of the many endings in Inazuma Eleven (watch the anime and, if you can, play the games whether you like football (soccer if you're from America or wherever) because, as someone who isn't overly keen on the sport, I thoroughly enjoy both watching the anime and playing the games.
  • https://youtu.be/LOor7rv1zEo - More Berryz coming at you. Another ending from the aforementioned anime.
  • https://youtu.be/zy1sDJcwLw8 - The last ending from said anime that I'll post. This one isn't Berryz tho. Good record either way.
  • https://youtu.be/q82DQ0jVPoc - T-Pistonz+KMC is the band that Level 1 hired for the Inazuma Eleven anime, and this is one of the better songs.
  • https://youtu.be/4MtuBHDjXek - More T-Pistonz+KMC coming at ya. Another of my favorites from the anime.
There is even more that I want to post, but I think I've thrown more than enough music at you lol, and I want to still have some left to post at a later date XD. Get posting some of your own!

edit: da fuq why do URLs turn the first five into embeds .-.
