Obtaining Squid and Octoling Character Models

First of all I'm not sure if this is posted in the right forum, if not please let me know and I'll move it or have the mods move it. Anyway, I was wondering how people are obtaining the squid and octoling character models and making comics using them. It looks cool and like a lot of fun; I wouldn't mind taking a shot at it, but first I need to know how to get these in the first place. Could someone clue me in, please?

Check around the Steam Workshop. Someone who goes by Dr.Lilrobot/Dr.Squidbot managed to rip the player models and you should be able to find them there.

go to Steam and search for source filmmaker you can get it for free

I recommend looking up a guide on youtube to learn how to use SFM if your going to do it.
