This took way longer to write that it should have I'm sorry

Even though this is my honest opinion, a person with as little knowledge of music as me should not have their musical option be taken that seriously on the internet and this is kind of a parody of theneedledrop, so bear with me.
Hi everyone, OFFTHONY HOOKTANO here, Squidboards's self-titled busiest music nerd. Time for a review of this Off the Hook album, which is just called "Off the Hook" on Nintendo music. If any lore enthusiasts can translate or know the name that would be appreciated
After seeing this thread I decided to dip my toe in Splatoon music while outside of the game so I can actually rank the idol groups so if we start with off the hook. I PUT DOWN THA CARTER III TO LISTEN TO THIS. IT BETTER BE GOOD!!!
Ok, it wasn't as good as C3, but that's a VERY high bar to jump over.
COLOR PULSE (5/10): This song is one of the worst on this album. Not that it's bad, it's just soooooo mid. Marina's singing is pretty decent, but Pearl's rapping is just boring, annoying and repetitive with it's flow. In-universe, this could be Nas-level lyricism, but unfortunately I don't speak squid. The production here is also soooo meeeh.
COMMENCE THE FEST: (interlude)
ACID HUES (8/10): Pearl and Mariana have great chemistry singing here. Way better than Pearl rapping. Also love the production here. Makes the song catchy and bumps it up to an 8.
MUCK WARFARE (8/10): I like this song for all the reasons I liked the previous one, but it feels like the vocals might make it a bit annoying after a few listens.
NOW OR NEVER! (5/10): I get that this song serves its purpose in the game, but it's my least favourite version if now or never. It just feels super mediocre and a bit annoying. Probably being too harsh though, like what else was actually supposed to happen here?
FEST ZEST (8/10): I love this, it's super catchy. Even though it's just Pearl (and Marina is better on a lot of these songs) her vocals are super fun. Ideal background music for a video game.
NASTY MAJESTY (10/10): BANGER ALERT!!!! WHOOP WHOOP BANGER ALERT!!!!
Wow this thumps with literally everything. Banger. I don't mind Pearl rapping about

SHARK BYTES (8/10): This song is carried by Marina's singing. The production is also great, but Pearl's singing is just good ig. It doesn't really add much. After quite a few listens, I can understand why some people might find this song annoying, because Pearl's singing can feel a bit boring, repetitive and honestly robotic sometimes.
HERE COMES ULTIMATE DOOM: So nasty that it's probably somewhat of a travesty.
FLY OCTO FLY (8/10): Best part is the last minute. Another BANGER ALERT for the last minute. Obviously, this couldn't be the entire song because of when it is played in the game. First two minutes are pretty good ig. I just don't think the production is as special as some other songs here, which is what it needs to push it up to a 9 or a 10.
INTO THE LIGHT (10/10): I think this song makes me feel the emotions it's designed to make me feel like damn, perfect outro. Mostly because of the production, though. Which is why I'm feeling a light 10 on this song. Not really much else to say.
CONCLUSION: I'm going to add an extra point to this album because it feels pretty experimental with it's squids and all that. Plus, I think everyone here has a kind of emotional catchment to this album, which is why I'm feeling a STRONG 8 TO A LIGHT 9 on this thing. I love it. Trans-
-ition, Have you given this album a listen? Did you love it did you hate it? What would you rate it? You're the best, you're the best. What should I review next?
Ok, on a side note the rating I gave was subjective to video game music in general, not in relation to music as a whole. Honestly, there are only a few songs that I might come back to outside the game when I'm listening to music casually. For context, here is a tier list with some other stuff:
