I'm just curious if anyone here has experience with (whether organized or participated in) a tournament using the Tournament Manager feature within the SplatNet app.
How does that work? How does the experience compare to battlefy/sendou/etc? What are the upsides and downsides? I know that the comp scene as a whole hasn't really embraced it since we have better methods. (At least that's the vibe I get, but I'm also curious what exactly the Tournament Manager is missing that keeps us from using it on a larger scale?)
Also, recent news indicates that support will be added sometime later this year for salmon run tournaments. I wonder if that will lead to a larger competitive scene for salmon run specifically, or if the existing salmon run tournaments will adapt to using it, or both/neither? It sounds interesting at any rate.
