As some of you may or may not have heard, DUDE is gearing up to play a month of Splatoon 1 via Pretendo. It's got my interest in joining Pretendo myself pretty peaked. Given that I 'd like to ask some questions to both those who have Pretendo as well as those who haven't yet.
If you haven't gotten on to Pretendo yet, I want to gauge your interest in it. How curious are you to try it? What if anything is discouraging you from joining? Would more active Squidboards users using Pretendo have a major effect on your desire to play?
If you are a Pretendo user, I want to know about how the experience is. Did you use the homebrew method or the hackless DNS method, and how was the setup? I'd also be curious to know how big the difference between the two methods is in terms of additional features and how useful they are. How do the amount of connection errors and overall queue times compare to Splatoon 3? How often do you play Splatoon 1 and what stands out as a main draw that keeps you playing?
I think getting more people talking about cool community projects like this is great and worthy of another thread. With that done I look forward to the discussion to come.
