Rainmaker Bug? | Splatting people miliseconds before they plug it in

I didn't think it was possible to do this, but i've splatted people that were doing the rainmaker plug in flip and it got dropped on top of the pedestal instead of it being plugged in.

If it's been known to be possible for ages, i'd like to say that it's incredibly cheap either way. Also, if there's etiquette saying people shouldn't hog the pedestal when it's being climbed, let me know.

I've seen it being dropped on the rim, but not dead center. Usually, once you do the flip, it's in.

Not sure. I thought that once your inkling jumps up to plant the rainmaker it is impossible to get splatted. Idk. Maybe it is possible, but most of the time people think it isn't worth trying to prevent at that point?

Apparently not, I did it twice.... i think. Maybe they were low on health or something.

I've seen it several times, and at least one of those times it happened while I was doing it. I found it a bit funny actually :)
