There was a thread (with a survey) not long ago about a possible Squidboards tournament. I think it would be fun too :D

Yeah the big concern for me is finding another organizer with experience to help me run it, as there's a lot of little things that I may completely miss. I've run tournaments for Smash and Pokemon and both are very, very different, and I know this would be the same. That really is the one thing stopping me at this point and even if I don't end up finding a way to get another TO on board, I'll still probably try to host a casual games night at some point in the summer instead.
