i’ve hit a wall since 4⭐ the explosher. i play solo mostly, lots of series, & i mained the cjet for a long time with this kit and she’s still ol’ reliable when i know it’s a good enough rotation or all other options have been exhausted

then recently i’ve been maining the forge pro, i’m pretty happy with that build but i’m willing to hear criticism anyway lol

i imagine i don’t need that extra sub of rsu, but i need it to compromise between my pro and my explo. any advice is greatly appreciated :-]

these all feel randomly generated, i dunno where to even start. id check sendou.ink for your weapons, they'll do more to help than i can.

Hmm I feel like the tiny amounts of sub power, ink recovery, and swim speed wouldn't be too useful. People generally pick a few abilities and really go for them, rather than trying to put tiny amounts of everything. You should also consider using LDE instead of multiple mains of ink saver abilities, it'll open up extra space for you!

see i thought this too, but then i watched this video and now i think differently lol. i’m no expert or mathematician but asking on the splatoon subreddit said the same thing. as for lde, i’ll have to give it a try, but it’s definitely hard for me to deal without saver sub and main for the first 4 minutes of the match

In Ranked modes, LDE activates depending on how much the opponent has scored. So if they score 70 points in the first minute of the game, then you get the full ability boost for the rest of the game (regardless of how much you score). Alternatively, if the opponent never scores any points, you won't get the boost at all for the entire 5 minutes. You can look on inkipedia/sendou.ink for the specifics.

oh i’ve never seen that type of weapon pool before— that’s super cool
as for the gear yeah check sendou.ink and then if you have any questions about why a certain thing is commonly done in builds, i’m happy to answer
it also seems like you only use a couple of gear pieces— if you’re running low on chunks, you can always use leanyoshi’s gear seed checker

also, i’m not going to tell you to stop using a main of run speed, swim speed, etc on weapons because they “don’t need it”, bc if it feels good for you that’s the most important thing
but things like two subs of ink recovery, one sub of sub power or one sub of sub saver barely do anything and are not worth using

heya! i play a lot of explo for fun, and i like this build in particular because it gives the main 14 shots to a tank instead of 10 (a pretty significant boost for a weapon with as much downtime as this one). swim speed gets more mileage than run speed on it imo since you ideally want to reposition after every shot instead of walking out in the open. everything else is there for utility, though i'm likely going to replace the subs of ink recovery and sub resist with other abilities since the ink recovery doesn't do much and sub resist is not in a good place balance-wise rn. feel free to give it a shot and let me know what you think!

thanks for the advice! i’ve only used sendou a little bit on mobile and sometimes i have a hard time understanding everything on it lol. i was just running the same gear cuz i liked it LMFAO, and i have so few things with ism as their main

edit: re: my weapon pool, i think of myself as a midline supportive anchor mostly :-) i’ve only really picked up a slayer like the forge because i can’t ink, kill, defend, push etc all at oncr with the explo or jet lol

thanks so much! i’ll def take inspiration from your build and let you know how it goes :-) i was just shy of the swim speed chunks i needed to finish the build so i’m gonna try and farm em out tomorrow
