Hey, all! The name's Flipz, and I'm a recent recruit to the ranks of Splatoon (started playing just over a week and a half ago). I'm still REALLY inexperienced, but I'm here to learn and get better, and maybe even enough to play in a squad with people. Any tips and advice are welcome (even the obvious stuff like "don't Super Jump in ranked!")--I'm still only Level 17 and hovering on the high side of B-, and the latter only because I had a particularly good run today trying out a 52 Gal for the first time on Hammerhead Bridge.

I'm particularly interested in info on how to use chargers, because for the life of me I can't seem to get the splatted things to work for me. Bad aim is, of course, part of it, but I also can't shake the feeling that I'm missing some crucial strategy (akin to the "you can fling ink with rollers!" thing) that will dramatically improve my play once I learn about it. Again, all advice is appreciated. :)

BTW, I want to thank Nintendome, SquidsNextDoor, and /r/Splatoon for leading me here; I never would have known about this place if it weren't for them. :)

Welcome to the boards. @Flipz

I'm not a charger main but from what I hear (or myself being splatted in rank matches), Dmg up helps cut down in charge time for 1 hit KO splats. Also motion controls help with precise aiming rather than analog. (Course you might wanna adjust your motion sensitivity or you could be more comfortable with analog controls?)

Thats all I really know. Hope this helps.

Welcome aboard, Squiddo!
Glad to have you here!

As for advice.
I'd say just keep practicing with the motion controls.
Adjust it to your suitable desire, and practice, practice, practice, practice.

You'll get it.
Because remember. Everyone starts from somewhere, and work their way up through loads of practice!

You could also stick around with one of your teammates for a little bit, in case you or him/her require assistance.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a thread somewhere here that teaches a few techs, which may be useful.
Just make sure you're getting enough 'hands on experience', You'll learn much faster this way!

That's all the advice I can think of at this point, but perhaps the next person below will be able to provide more!
Good luck!
