So during Splatfest we all end up playing with other people in our country only. I dunno if it's me or some people in my country are just...bad? Like I've seen some people do some dumb things such as a Roller running away or going past me without trying to fight back.

After playing with full houses of Japanese players the US players that have skill have a completely different play style.

So far I've seen a lot of agressive players from both sides. Unfortunately, the current map rotation favors them a lot (maybe too much), so players which prefer a more passive playstyle, like me, can't do much against them to the point where I just decided to quit the Splatfest early :(

Something I've noticed when playing with American players is a lot of players tend to stick together, all the time, near spawn. Attempts to break out only really happen if the minute warning sounds, and even then, they're pretty feeble attempts.

We need to fan out and ink! Help each other when we need it or call for it, but the objective is to cover terrain! Heck, we can even implement the spawn line holding by distracting the other team and circle around to paint their side with little worry. You only need two to dance a mean tango while the other two waltz into an empty half of the arena!

I was in a Planes Vs Planes match where the whole other team was spawn camping. Thank god for the spawn shield.

But yeah, i think planes might landslide this one.

Yeah, i'm also not getting alot of Japanese players... maybe they fixed something? And yeah, i was in one where a person just sat there and did 360's while i ran around cleaning up. (I'm an obsessive cleaner roller, i don't get many points, but our side stays our color.)

The matches that are actually played well though are pretty hardcore.... aaaaand usually won by planes. (I think i only lost 5 times last night playing 3 hours or so.)

That is indeed something I've been seeing a lot. I'm also seeing some incredibly timid Rollers afraid to go into enemy ink.

Most commonly, I'm seeing players who follow other players and not really contribute and the inverse of the spawn-defenders, the Leeroy Jenkins: The people who rush out straight into the middle to battle, get splatted, then respawn only to do it all over again. They have no strategy and just rush headfirst into the opposing line of fire.
