Calling all squids!
We’re looking to not only increase the size of our staff, but we also want to bring on content creators to create original work and to promote their own content.
To do this, we’re opening up staff applications indefinitely for all those who are interested in joining our team! Whether you have prior experience or not, we’d like to hear from as many applicants as possible.
Check out the openings below to see if something fits you!
Open Positions:
Moderators:
-Regularly cleaning boards of old threads
-Locking/deleting spam, old bumps, inappropriate content
-Ensuring civil discourse in discussion topics
-Helping users with issues or reporting those issues to admins
Discord Moderators:
-Ensuring civil discourse in discussion topics
-Helping users with issues or reporting those issues to admins
-Cleaning spam and dealing with troublesome users
-Answering suggestions/feedback or directing them to admins
Writers / Content Creators:
-Reporting weekly on current events within the community and in competitive play
-Highlighting and interviewing players, community members, and more in articles
-Providing news coverage and writing editorials (writers must post at least once a week unless otherwise excused)
-Producing original video and audio content
-Posting and promoting their own content (ex. Youtubers posting their content in our spotlight Video section)
Event Organizers:
-Organizing community events and tournaments
-Will be part of our Squidboards Monthlies tournament team and running those events
Community Ambassadors:
-Creating discussion threads and promoting healthy discussion
-Participating on the forums and encouraging others to do so
-Posting weekly polls
-Promote Squidboards and the Splatoon community
-Post on SQ social media
How to Apply:
To apply for any of the above, fill out the Squidboards Staff Application form (<-- click the link!) OR send an email with the subject titled "Squidboards Staff Application [Your Username]" to squidboardsstaff@gmail.com with the following information:
1) Your username
2) Your preferred method of contact
3) Contact information for your preferred method
4) Position you are applying for
5) Experience in that position or related positions
6) Brief introduction of who you are
7) Resume, portfolio and/or examples of previous work (OPTIONAL but recommended especially for writers/content creators)
We'll be constantly checking for new applications, so please apply whenever you can! We'd love to add you to the team!
