Two Versions of Flamethrowers:

Streamers:

-Linear beam of water colored ink, which looks like a solid laser when firing, but turfs and appears more as a liquid when the beam makes contact with objects and surfaces.

-Streamers have good object damage, but only when the fire rate & damage ramp up over time.

-Streamers possess the ability to recover ink slightly faster than any other weapon class. However, Streamers have among the poorest ink consumption out of any weapon in the game. This means that ink efficiency overall is rather average, having a fast ink recovery rate, but being ink hungry in turn.

-Damage and rate of fire of Streamers ramps up over time via frames, similarly to that of a Stingray from Splatoon 2. (although, this does not penetrate through objects like the Stingray special did)

-Players will need to be able to accurately trace their opponents with precision in order to consistently input damage, rather than shooting and landing individual shots onto them. This is damage inflicted over time via frames that will splat, and time to kill varies by weapon.

-Shots have very fast velocity, which makes the weapon feel like it's hitscan within maximum range.

-Ink streams that are outside of maximum range will feel more to that of projectile in shot leading.

-Decent turf output, comparable to something like a Splattershot Pro.

Steamers:

-Much like traditional flamethrowers, Steamers have a slow bullet velocity and trajectory speed. This makes this weapon pool unique apart from Streamers in that it will take longer for ink to travel to certain destinations, and will rather be more actively present in the air.

-Steamers will shoot out a flame formulated consistency of ink (like smoke) that will further dissolve into a steaming mist, which will loom in the air for a few frames, before condensating on objects/surfaces into a liquid state for turfing. Each cycle paints the user's feet and around the user.

-The initial stage nets higher damage outputs than the following steaming mist stage. The steaming mist stage on the other hand has more range and is wider, which gives it more turf and AOE coverage.

-Opponents can be damaged by any stage while it is in the air, and the second stage of steaming mist can penetrate solid objects just as steam is transparent and can pass through objects in the real world.

-Damage is dealt over time in frames within the effects of the weapon pool's unique ink properties.

-No faster ink recovery rates like Streamers, but Steamers do have a form of "passive damage" which basically gives any ink on the ground that is turfed with this weapon pool increased damage per frame when opponents make contact with it. (this also has a soapy visual effect with turf of ink "boiling")
