Play smart.

At this level, to move forward you'll need to know exactly how your weapon is meant to be used. If you need to retreat, retreat! Staying alive as long as possible is very important to doing well at this level, especially because you'll occasionally be paired with A+ ranks who recently dropped from S and they will be moving very quick and making faster decisions.

Keep your awareness on high alert at all times. Make sure you have a general idea of where your team mates are at all times and if they're dead, where they died at so you can gauge what enemy weapon took them out.

What weapons do you run? Knowing that will help us give you more advice.

I'm stuck in A- as well but if I could give any tips to help you advance, choose a weapon type that you can play well with and use it. If you want to test out weapons, do it in TW instead of Ranked

Be aware of what your team mates are doing and help them. If they are successful so are you.

This is a tough rank at first. You come in confident from the B ranks, since you were the top dog. Then you get dumped into a field where some players are actually S dropouts (maybe even S+ dropouts sometimes? lolol), and you're at the bottom again.

At this point most players have a pretty good understanding of a couple of weapons, what gear to use, and position-related stuff on maps. Also, they may have some good gimmicks that work incredibly well in B rank (but not A rank).

Personally, I just grinded it out. I took my losses as they came, and tried to adjust, over time, to the increase in speed and skill level. If I had to drop to B+ or lower than so be it, it just meant I needed more practice before I played with the As again. After a while I just got used to it, and now most A players seem like n00bs to me (especially A- players, oh god).

I also started searching for tips and high level gameplay on Youtube and Twitch, and asked a lot of questions about how to improve. This definitely helped a lot.

My advice would be find one map and mode combo that really works for you, then try and get most of your rank gain during that. I'm not saying you shouldn't play at other rotaitions, but if you know your strengths and stick to them you'll have a much better chance. Another thing you should do is find one or two weapons that really click with you. I got up to s rank with the tentatek and because of how good the weapon is, I eventually got bored of being able to win so easily and started to lose concentration, making my play much worse. You should most importantly be having fun with the weapons you use, as it is easyer to get good with them than ones you get bored of. You should also try not too get too salty, take a break if you're on a losing streak, switch lobby's if you are getting sucky teammates or powerful opponents and just remember that it's just a game and try to stay calm, don't be me and break your gamepad in rage for the 3rd time in less that half a year, as anger costs, you play worse and you pay a £85 repair cost for your gamepad screen ;-;.

Hopefully this helps. Sorry this was all just one wall of text, I had to type it quickly

I don't know how A rank is for actual A ranks, since it's been so long since I was one, but nowadays I can just grab (almost) any weapon on (almost) any rotation and get top KDR an stuff. But, many times your teammates will be in one spot, and that's not good. You'll need to go to the position they are not in, and scare off/kill the enemies who are flanking (and there will always be some). Hope this helps, I might write a little more detailed post later.

I'm a current S rank on my main account, but when I was playing on my brothers account as a B+ rank, it was the most difficult thing I've ever done. I know that you always here people complaining about bad teammates, but when your team camps the rainmaker at spawn when you're losing every game is just ridiculous.
