Before we reveal today’s stages, some special news!
What is it? We’ve received word from…on high.
That’s right, we mean… There’s going to be a Splatfest soon!

The theme is descending as we speak…

The theme for the upcoming Splatfest is…

Mii Adam Vs. Mii Ben!

That’s right! It’s the ultimate showdown between our two admins, in this very special event.
On one side, the charming yet unsettlingly creepy smile of Mii Adam. And on the other, the surly, no nonsense mug of Mii Ben.

More news will be coming over the next few weeks about this exciting event, including details regarding the Turf War tournament we’ll have. Get your own squad of four friends together, and start practicing! Need to find more squad members? Head on over to our community page, and find some other community members to partner with.

While the event in general will be free, the tournament will have a $10 buy in per person. We know that’s a change of how we usually do things, but that does mean a cash prize for the winners! $5 of the entry fee will go to pay for the venue, and the other $5 will be paid out to our champs! NintenDiego is not collecting any money for itself in this. As always, if you’re coming to casually play games and not enter the tournament, you’re more than welcome to come hang out at absolutely no cost to you!

Exact tournament rules will be announced soon. Additionally, we’ll have some more awesome activities we’ll be announcing before the Splatfest starts!

Yes, it'll be a full turf war with 8 Wii Us in person! We're crazy excited, and we're really going to be totally festive about the Splatfest theme, too. Promises to be a lot of fun.

I will definitely update the thread next month and let you guys know how it goes. : )

Hey! Just an update. Splatfests happen at night, right? Right! We've changed the time of this event to 3PM. The tournament will start at 5PM.

We also started a Miiverse contest! Pick your poison... er, favorite admin, and post your own drawing on the Facebook event page! The winner (most likes) will win a prize at the event.
