One thing I love about Ranked Battles is that almost every weapon is viable, whereas in Regular Battles it seems that most players (myself included) tend to stick to weapons with high-fire rate (Splattershot Jr, Aerospray, etc), so it's nice to see more weapon variation in Splat Zone. Now, which weapon is your go to weapon?

I could list off every single weapon in the game for the poll but that sounds like a pain so instead I came up with "classes" to categorize the weapons (we Battlefield now lol) but let me elaborate just in case they're not clear:

Assault: Low damage but high fire-rate, assaults fight tooth and nail right in the middle of the Splat Zone

Support: Decent damage and range, supports tend to stay just outside of the Splat Zone and provide covering fire for their teammates while taking out enemy players

Close-range Specialist: Very high damage output but with no long range options, close-range specialists often stick to guerrilla warfare by ambushing unsuspecting enemy players and claiming the Splat Zone for themselves once the opposition has been dealt with

Sniper: High damage and range, snipers stay a good distance away from the Splat Zone while taking out any enemy player foolish enough to get caught in their sights

Heavy: Low fire rate but high damage, heavies charge into the Splat Zone equipped with weapons designed to take out enemy players in as few shots as possible

Of course, this is just me generalizing, so if your play style differs, please feel free to elaborate on how you use a weapon differently

I use Splattershot jr. Technically that could be categorized as support too because the Bubbler can be shared between teammates. Since the weapon has low range though, you kinda need to sneak up enemies to take them out. It doesn't stand a chance against the weapons in heavy class.

I also use the Jr., not because I think the gun by itself is particularly good in this mode (Splat Zones is really better suited for long-range weapons from what I've seen), but because it's the gun I'm most comfortable with in terms of my playstyle. Since it's only public rooms right now, I'm not worried about the possibility of the Jr. "holding me back" or anything, I just want to learn as much as I can about what it can do in a more focused objective-based environment, especially when it comes to timing pushes with the Bubbler.

I'm a high ranged lethal Gold Dynamo Roller, so this poll confused me even more. Do I just pick heavy?

If the Mall Map is in rotation I play Custom Blaster - otherwise Release the Kraken

Classic squiffer. N-zap is pretty fun too, depending on map rotation.

I like the .52 Gal with ink wall. It does a great job of pushing opponents back, while easily netting a kill for those that are foolish when trying to fire through it. I would trade the killer wail for kraken, but sometimes I can get a kill if I hide the KW.

I've had the most success and fun with Dynamo rollers as of late, though I'm not sure what category it falls under considering the jump swing outranges some guns.

I did use the tentatek than I switched to Forge splatter shot pro as my main as I feel it helps to deal with snipers better with increased range along with the inkzooka , so I am not losing anything in that regard. It also helps deal with dynamo. Elocator helps a bit too. Great for pushing enemies back imo

I flip flop between the Inkbrush and the 52 Gal myself. While the gal gives me very consistent results (especially above B rank), the Inkbrush has been instrumental to my victories in a number of situations that would otherwise be hopeless. Holding down Arowana Mall's splat zone by myself for 70 seconds (40 overtime and 30 "real" time) against two snipers, a dynamo roller and a Splash-o-Matic user is one of those things I wish Splatoon had YT replays for.
