Hello! I'm interested in joining a team, and I'm looking for a team now, but my life circumstances make it difficult for me to play consistently (or at least every week night). I was on two other teams before, but the Calamari Cuties team is currently not active in Splatoon.
I'm personally liking the RpBPD more than the RpBP at this time. Disruptors are much easier on the ink tank, allowing myself more shots when I need them and being more readily available than Seekers. They're also much better for checking corners or enemy ink for potential ambushers. Killer Wail...
You don't have to kill with seekers. On some maps, they're great for rushing mid and for ramp control. Being able to rush and camp the mid of Camp Triggerfish is something that the Rapid Blaster Pro can do very well. Same for rushing and camping the hill of Arowana Mall.
Rapid Blaster Pro has a...
I'm focusing a lot on special charge up, with a secondary focus on ink recovery. I tried builds with swim speed up, but that didn't seem as helpful. I really needed Seeker Rush to capture turf and exert pressure on the enemy team.
You can either use a loadout that can outrange the 96 Deco or hit without direct line of sight, and/or attack from the sides or behind as much as possible. The 96 Gal is a strong weapon, but it's very much a direct combat weapon. It doesn't have bombs for arcing over terrain or up/down walls...
For maps that are mostly straight and flat from spawn to enemy spawn, Carbon Deco is pretty much the most effective rusher. Unlike Brushes, you pay your ink costs up front and get it all back by swimming in the ink while following behind a Seeker, so you won't be ink starved at the end. In...
Custom Dual Squelcher is pretty neat. I tend to use it when I'm squadding with players that will use Beakons and if we're on maps where the Beakons will be helpful, such as Camp Triggerfish or Moray Towers. As long as I maintain my spacing correctly, I can kill enemies or provide support fire...
I don't confess to be good at doing it all the time, but I do try to listen for audio cues.
If I'm top of a wall for maps such as Bluefin Depot, Moray Towers or Flounder Heights, and I start hearing sounds that I can't visually find sources for, then I need to get away from the wall or else...
To me Hammerhead Bridge is basically a Port Mackerel with much needed verticality due to the grated walkways. It's possible to get spawn camped but still sort of hard to get to that point. It's super long, so beakons are great. The middle is so twisty turny, which allows for some excellent...
I like Flounder Heights the most. You can climb on nearly every surface, it's huuuuuge and there are so many ways to move about and ambush. Also it's pretty difficult to get spawn camped on this map though it's potentially possible.
I dislike Camp Triggerfish in Turf Wars the most, out of all...
If you recognize an enemy with a loadout with Kraken, don't go too deep into enemy ink, don't get too close and make sure they die if you see them, even if they're not shiny.
Usually if I kill with Kraken, it's because the enemy got too greedy and chased me deep into friendly ink. At that point...
For the Nzap 89 loadout, I would recommend stacking as much Special Charge Up as you can. The Nzap 89 loadout can be very very fast at getting Inkstrike, even faster than the Aerospray RG. My playstyle is to basically stay alive as long as possible and to be firing Inkstrikes often. The Nzap has...
