Jet Squelcher is my favorite weapon in the game so far (note I'm only level 10), I like the long range, but still rapid fire. The best strategy I've come up with during turf war is to find a high up area with a lot of turf to cover around it, such as the giant tower in Blackbelly Skatepark, then cover as much ground from there as you can. If someone tries to approach you, use the wall and your superior range to defend yourself. (and hope they don't have a charger) I haven't played much of Ranked battles yet, but it is still my favorite to use in those battles as well

I never really noticed how useful the splash walls were until I started using the jet squelcher in ranked modes recently. The splat walls in conjunction with the great range/accuracy of the squelcher is a dangerous combination when put in the right situations. I'm still probably not using the walls as effectively as I should be, but there's been a few times already where I've managed to survive close encounters in Splat Zones simply by throwing a splash wall between me and an opponent (usually equipped with a fast-firing weapon like a Splash-O-Matic or Inkbrush) and just backing up a little bit in squid form.
Plus, the inkstrike is always great, especially for Splat Zones. I have a feeling with a little more practice with the walls, this will be my go-to weapon for ranked battles (I'm sorry, inkbrush!).

An important part in mastering this weapon seems to be learning how to hit "unaimed" shots, that is using the big arc of the shots to hit
faraway targets without directly aiming at them (you don't get the hit sound effect when this happens).
