Splatnet gear won't disappear in Shops after declining to buy them!

Is anyone else having this issue? If I order gear on Splatnet, the Shops give me the option of keeping my Splatnet version or trading it for the orginal Shop version. That's nice. The problem, however, is that if I decline the Shop version, the Shop keeps the Shop version in it's inventory...

So much lag I just can't play anymore

Ok, everyone, so after some extensive research, here's the results of my findings. First off, I got the chance to play Splatoon in Japan last month, on a couple different Japanese Wii U's at a local gaming bar in Osaka, and I can say that the game-play was drastically different over there...

So much lag I just can't play anymore

Maeve, Good advice. I have a S+ Splatoon friend in Norway who is convinced that it's his Upload speeds which make the difference. He is one of those players who I experience on my end as often moving faster than I know the weapons or abilities allow. It's because of him that I increased my...

Yes! I need to second this! I definitely experience some people moving at speeds that I know are not possible on my end, because they are using weapons that I know very well.

So much lag I just can't play anymore

Good advice, especially for those using wifi. For my part, for whatever it's worth (and for the public record here), I have a dedicated Wifi connection for just the Wii U -- all other devices in the house use a different wifi connection. But, moreover, I've also been using a hardwired...

^^^^^^^ Yes, ALL OF THIS!!! Very good description of the mini-teleporting -- it's not the big teleporting that you sometimes see that is clearly from obvious lag, from huge chunks of information that have gone missing; it looks more like a consistent frame-rate drop, like you're opponents are...

Birdiebee, Gosh, I hope you're right!

You are definitely experiencing a bad wifi connection. Microwaves will do it, and apartment buildings -- especially apartment buildings! You have so many wifi signals within range of your wii u that they interfere with each other and you will drop packets while playing, if not your connection...

I've also considered that there could be something going on with my particular Wii U -- like they simply don't perform as well as they age, but mine's only a year and a half old, so I dunno. Also, yes, I think there's definitely something going on with Nintendo's matchmaking. I have observed...

So much lag I just can't play anymore

Hey everyone, sorry for the slow response -- I was out of the country for the last three weeks (in Japan, actually), and I'll post a report on my experience playing Splatoon over there as soon as I catch up on the thread. I also have a proposal for perhaps testing things out a bit and for...

So much lag I just can't play anymore

Still, even with latency and with bottlenecks, I don't understand why it takes me two shots to splat someone with my inkzooka, while all my opponents have to do is get anywhere roughly near me with their inkzookas to get a splat. How come I don't experience the same thing as I see happening to...

So much lag I just can't play anymore

I'm so glad I'm not alone in this! Yeah, I also feel like it's gotten worse. Back when I started playing Splatoon, I used a Tentatek a lot, and my Inkzooka shots always were a guarantee splat. Now, I just plan on needing two shots to kill -- one to trap 'em in the ink and the second to splat...

So much lag I just can't play anymore

Something else I'm noting just now is that, while I have great internet speeds (and obviously not much latency) if I send a ping to a local server, there are some parts of the U.S. which, if I send a ping to, show much slower internet speeds, like 15 Mbps down (in addition to the obviously...

So much lag I just can't play anymore

I should note that sometimes, every one in a while, I will have what feels like a great connection, for like maybe a play session or two. My splat/death ratio will go from 0/4, where it usually is, to like 6/0, 8/1, 12/2, or even 20/4. Because of these brief moments of connection clarity, it...

So much lag I just can't play anymore

So, I think I've reached the conclusion that, as much as I love this game, I have to set it aside...because of lag or matchmaking or some sort of communications issues. Let me just say that I have a "good" ISP for in the U.S.: Comcast. I have a top tier package: 225 Mbps down, 30 Mbps up. I...
