World Cups are/were very popular in the competitive MK8/MKWii Scene, and I think Splatoon would work perfectly for it. For those OOTL, this would be like a normal tournament, but instead of your usual club/squad/team, national squads would be made instead, and you could represent your country...

I wouldn't mind organising stuff for it i.e Tournaments and stuff. I honestly would go ahead myself and make a forum but I have no experience with that sort of thing whatsoever. What do you think about competitive MT:US?

When do you think would be a good time to start organising it, like team signups etc.?

Just wondering if anybody knows when Private rooms will be available, and when they are, I wouldn't mind organizing a tournament/league.
