I guess it's most effective in squad battles, my teammates told me the callouts came in handy every time I died, and it's always fun getting an echolocator every time you die. Definitely an underrated ability...
Kraken is way too OP in 1v1s.
As for weapons, the rapid blaster pro is actually pretty amazing at 1v1s, along with the Krak-on. The elitre not so much really, depends on the stage i guess.
Certain guns such as the .52 gal increase shots to kill according to defense up.
Damage up for bombs, splash walls, inkstrikes and killer wails is literally useless, it's mainly used for chargers and weapons with variable shots to kill.
Damage up and defense up are not a 1 to 1 exchange...

It's entirely possible. Whether the gamepads operating on the same frequency would pose an issue or not is another question. There's a LAN tournament being held in Italy soon that I might go to, I guess we'll see what happens there.

I'll tell you exactly how to host a LAN tournament properly - just get a switch with 9+ ports, connect 8 Wii U's to it via ethernet and connect it to the internet. I'm not sure what you mean by 'They could give us LAN, which is much better than WLAN.' LAN stands...
