The Squid kids don't actually physically fight in turf wars. But instead go into that room where you pick your game play and then it's like a VR room.

You can go into an "i dont give a #ffffff" mode and start making up games for yourself to take it less seriously. Like follow one of your team mates around and just stare at them or help them. Try to start squid parties. Get a sniper but try to use it to claim turf rather than ... sniping. try...

By challenges I mean things to try when you're bored or frustrated with the game play. Two that I thought of was trying to die the most without contributing. Or try to play by only looking at the game pad map. Any other challenges you would do?
