Oh yeah, good point. It's one thing to set up a good anti-cheat system, but another to make sure the game plays well enough that nobody feels cheated anyway.
I'd say it was well worth watching the Direct; before then I was merely interested in playing Hero Mode and moving on. Now perhaps I might play online multiplayer again.

This one went pretty alright compared to last Splatfest, mostly because I had the motivation to get to King rank this time. Both teams were pretty solid, even though early on I saw Team Friends win more 100x and 10x Battles. I seriously thought that Ninty had...
This Splatfest was a mixed bag for me. Sure, it was nice to play some Splatoon again, but at this point I think I'm actually getting tired of the game in favor of Smash U. Also, my results were about half-and-half, too.
Anyway, final Clout:
This Splatfest was certainly something cool. It's not often they dress up Inkopolis Square for a special holiday like Halloween.
I noticed from my feed that many of the 100x Battle victors (at least on Normal Mode) were on Team Treat, so at least I have high hopes for us winning that category...
I don't know, guys. I think this new Clout system's not that much different from the old even with the reworks it brings. Then again, maybe I'm wrong and people will suddenly start expecting the popular team to win again.

Well, Team Squid sure was the choice pick. I saw a few matches where the Octos dominated us, but most of the time it was pure takoyaki cooking season. (If anything, the real salt came from losing my microSD adapter and having to get a new one from my sister so I could upload my final power pic...
Well, this Splatfest was something. First one playing as an Octoling and first one where I reached Monarch* rank with the Splattershot (after getting in a few good rounds with the N-Zap '85). What I can say with confidence is that No-Pulp has popularity in the bag.

Just finished the DLC tonight. I managed to get 45-ish out of the 80 Mem Cakes and beat the first seven stages of the finale, but the last part of the eighth was a bit too much. I just couldn't focus my shots on the head and rather than hear Ebb and Flow go into panic mode I simply bailed...
