Um did you actually have to be playing at 6 when it ended to see results? Just turned it on now and everything is back to normal... Kind of makes the whole thing feel a bit pointless.
This is great, and I'm ashamed to say I did consider the implausibility of it when I first started playing. As if it actually mattered. Like, OK turning into a squid is fine but this infinite ink thing just isn't scientific!
Played a little bit, it's wonderful - the other players dancing in the main hub to the tentacle twins god awful J-Pop. Hilarious! Gonna leave it for tonight because it's Saturday night but will be on it all tomorrow (with a hangover). Nice to play turf war again as I've been on ranked the last...

I basically did the same thing - not really into either rock or pop. Neither choice would've been sincere so I just though meh, rainbow T Shirt, I'll wear it ironically.
Yeah, bubbler and kraken are both annoying when you sneak up on someone, attack and suddenly they're invincible and your whole brilliantly thought out plan comes undone. Frustrating because it doesn't feel like your fault, your approach could be great but you've got no way of telling they have...
