I don't think there would have been any notable gameplay improvements to be garnished by having swimming mechanics, so a hazard is fine.

I think it's just a weapon variety that shares its name with the brand (and might have visuals to match that brand). I don't think you can customize the weapon itself.

Balancing is for the benefit of the game's longevity. No-one likes facing the same nonsense on a consistent basis. And it's not like Nintendo are balance gods or anything. There's going to be a power discrepancy somewhere when the game launches.

I almost always go male when given the option. It's just how I roll. Although I wonder if there's re-customization. Your hair color, etc. is determined by your team/ink color, which is out of your control. So that just leaves skin color. I might go for a darker tone, but I need to see it...
