Ranked modes have knockouts that can stop the game if one team is in control for too long. Turf War has no such thing.
It's not the same thing, a Turf War game will always end after 3 minutes while the ranked modes can end in less than a minute if they're able to shut out the enemy team.

It has potential to be as stally as Tower Control, due to players having to focus fire on a bubble for a few seconds and just having to push into the enemy base. But it also has potential to not be so bad because you aren't on a rail like with TC.
I'll concede that the lists of nerfs I posted that sparked this page-long flame was a bit too much, but I agree with you.
It's not that the Dynamo is unfun to play against, it's just that you have to bring such specific counters to it, or you just can't play against it.

Smash lets you know what stage is going to be picked beforehand.
There is no such ability to do this in Splatoon unless you purposefully tell the other team what you're using.
Splatoon is not an RTS or MOBA. More importantly, Splatoon does not let you know what the enemy has until the game has already started and it's too late to switch.
Could be, or it could be that a one-shot kill weapon with hardly a need to aim, and hardly allows for the victim to fight back might be just a little overpowered.
I play in S and S+ rooms consistently, and no other weapons give me as much trouble as the rollers.
The Carbon is fine, but the other two variants require much more effort to deal with than the amount of effort necessary to use them.
