    Splatoon 2 Splatoon 2 Input Lag & aresplatoon2controlsfixed.com

I did tests at 60fps (not at 400fps like in my thorough tests) and found they were roughly the same latency for motion controls and button presses.

    Splatoon 2 Splatoon 2 Input Lag & aresplatoon2controlsfixed.com

Total input to output lag differs per game, but difference between controllers is *usually* consistent no matter what game. But to ensure that it wasn’t just a problem with ARMS, I tested with Street Fighter 2 and found that it was exactly the same, so we can be almost 100% certain the slightly...

    Splatoon 2 Splatoon 2 Input Lag & aresplatoon2controlsfixed.com

Initial tests found Joy Cons had similar latency and wired mode on Pro Controller is actually slower.

Accuracy Comparison of Motion Controls between Joy Con and Pro Controllers

In this thread we talked a bit about the difference in latency between Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2. I've made a new thread for that here, and thought I'd mention to anyone following this thread: https://squidboards.com/threads/splatoon-2-input-lag-aresplatoon2controlsfixed-com.31578/

    Splatoon 2 Splatoon 2 Input Lag & aresplatoon2controlsfixed.com

Hey Squids and Squidettes, As some of you may know, the controls in Splatoon 2 have a lot more latency (input lag) than in Splatoon 1. Some people, including myself, hypothesized that this might be a general input lag that affects all Switch games. I have found that this is not the case: I...

Accuracy Comparison of Motion Controls between Joy Con and Pro Controllers

Hey everyone! Sorry I'm late giving final results, but I wanted to give a quick update: The simple summary is: I'm having a very hard time finding any substantial differences between Pro Controller, separate Joy Cons, or Joy Cons in Grip. I've done the test and have about 45 min of video footage...

    Pro Controller Wired vs. Wireless

Hehe, there's a reason I never post on Reddit. >.<' Very cool you got the same results. I'm probably going to do a similar test using my test circuit. For splatoon, it's something people seem to be able to adapt to and everyone really wants to make splatoon an esport, so everyone wants to be...

Accuracy Comparison of Motion Controls between Joy Con and Pro Controllers

Yeah, I remember thinking MK8: Deluxe felt "loose" (I have over 150 hours in MK8 for Wii U). So I also suspect this is a problem with the Switch and not something specific to Splatoon.

Accuracy Comparison of Motion Controls between Joy Con and Pro Controllers

Hey everyone, I've got some results on a comparison between Wii U and Switch. No comparison of joy con vs. grip yet -- I'll try and do that soon. Please see the edited original post for Wii U vs. Switch comparison...

    Pro Controller Wired vs. Wireless

Hmm. Next time I do a test like this, I might try to have an LED in-view of the camera so you can see this. Thanks for the feedback. This method would not be at all precise in determining total input latency, but could give a ball-park range of how long it takes to make a specific action with a...

    Pro Controller Wired vs. Wireless

Ok, I know some people who have the game, I might check in with them a bit more. Testing a bunch of different controllers at once can sometimes be nice, since normally a couple will have the same performance...

    Pro Controller Wired vs. Wireless

Hmm. You know if there's an infinite time mode that doesn't require you paying attention to the game? (Is there a no-lose mode?)

    Pro Controller Wired vs. Wireless

If anyone knows of a 3 or 4 local player game that runs at 60fps let me know. Specifically something that has a game mode with an infinite timer and easy to see changes based on button feedback. Games like ARMS run at 30fps with 3 or 4 players. Games like Bomberman are just too awkward to record...

Accuracy Comparison of Motion Controls between Joy Con and Pro Controllers

Hey again! As the first Splatoon 2 Splatfest approaches, a lot of people have been reporting that the motion controls feel unresponsive (laggy/high latency). I feel this myself. It's a big difference from what we're used to on the Wii U which had an obviously lower latency. This is such a...

    Pro Controller Wired vs. Wireless

Nope. Bluetooth only (unless you hacked the firmware on the controller, if I remember things right).
