Yup, if you go into the Switch icons, you will see that they replaced Donkey Kong's original render for his new design. The facial expression gives it away.

Ok I looked at it and weirdly what bothers me isn’t the Donkey Kong but the new Luigi render. He looks too happy

Yeah, I also noticed the new render for Peach, personally, that one doesn't look as good as the old render to me.
