into the light always plays after a splatfest in the square, like how daybreaker anthem plays after splatfests in splatsville
to add more context: this past splatfest was the first time the square was available for splatfests, and therefore the first time into the light played in splatoon 3. this made a lot of splat2 veterans emotional, hence the plazaposting (er, squareposting) about it
i know that typically, regular lobby music changes hourly (whether it's one of the splat3 lobby tracks or a playlist of old battle music), but i don't think it's the same for all players outside of splatfests? of course, nobody's having emotional enough reactions to
Belly Flop for plaza posts to prove or disprove that. all the wiki page on the
jukebox says is this:
- At 2AM, 10AM, and 6PM UTC, the lobby will play one of six playlists of select battle themes from previous Splatoon games, rotating through songs in a set order every 5 minutes until the hour is up. The legacy playlist will be played for all three of the designated hours in a particular day, then rotate to the next playlist in sequence for the next day.
so while there's specific times in UTC that the battle music playlists play, it doesn't specify whether the specific playlists chosen, or the regular lobby music loops outside of those hours, are the same for all online players or not.
that bit of trivia also isn't sourced. :x
