Any good alternatives to Twitter?

I really dislike the competitive community on Twitter, and I'm not interested in finding people to associate with on there.

Does anyone know any good alternatives to find friends? Thank you!

A lot of people are going to Mastodon because of Elon and all. However it can be difficult for some people to use.

While Twitter has become a little bit better recently, I think there are better alternatives. But Face Book is definitely not one of them, I think some of the less mainstream alternatives would actually be better at this time.

+1 for Mastodon. However, I'd suggest avoiding the larger servers, like mastodon.social. They can be a little slow.

I just use tumblr. It's kinda become the least annoying social media because it still has chronological posts
