Anyone else just getting back into Splatoon 3 ?

So at launch I played for a bit and was like the music and stages didn't live up to splatoon 2 for me so I stopped playing. Now after playing side order I'm like why did I stop for a couple years, this game is as good as splatoon 2. Splatoon 2 gave me happy memories in life and even was in a happy long distance relationship at the time. Not in that relationship anymore. But splatoon 2 was a comfort game for me. Had life struggles during splatoon 3 especially the launch so I put off the game for awhile. Side order gives me that nostalgia of splatoon 2. I prefer the dlc stories in splatoon. Never beat splatoon 2 or 3 story mode yet side order is pretty cool though!

What I did was play Splatoon 1 while it was the most recent title, stopped playing when it hit Splatoon 2, and returned for Splatoon 3. Funny enough my reason for skipping Splatoon 2 was because "this is the same as Splatoon 1" which I was kinda burnt out on as is, and my reason for getting back in Splatoon 3 is "this is the same as Splatoon 1" except this time it was a really really good thing because it had been so long LOL

That's completely fair and valid. I played splatoon 1 after splatoon 2 wanted to see what it was about. Splatoon 1 had a cool mini game to play while waiting for the match to start. Splatoon 2 is worth a play though (for the octo expansion)

Yep, same here. I played the first one a LOT. I played the second one a good amount as well, though not as much as the first. The third one I bought, played for a bit, but stopped pretty quickly, and I only recently got into it. Idk I guess I got burned out, but I recently felt the desire to get back into it.
