I never rename my miis. The only name changes I've undergone were switching between miis, as I've kept all of my old designs that way.
To date, I've only had three personal miis, and they were always named with my name or a nickname I'm known by.
This is why you should always pick what you actually agree with, not try to metagame crap.
I strongly agree with this. I've also been on most of the loosing teams, but regardless of that, I still choose whatever team is representing what I support the most. The closest I've gotten to meta-game team picking was this last Splatfest, but my choice had nothing to to with Splatoon and the Splatfest itself.
I've always tried to pick the less popular of Pokémon games once I've predicted which would be more popular. (Except for White 2 and OmegaRuby, as I already had White and the original Ruby Version.) This was in hopes of increasing the likelihood of someone wanting to trade with me. Isn't trading the original concept behind the Pokémon games?
