Honestly, I wasn't nearly as invested in this Splatfest as I was in the last one; cars vs. planes isn't nearly as emotionally enthralling to me as art vs. science. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people coin flipped to decide their team this time around.

(For those interested, I went with Cars because my car is my own personal space I can customize to suit my own needs, whereas a plane is crowded and uncomfortable and impersonal.)

I had the "I own a car not a plane" mentality, I also liked the logo for cars a little bit more.

Even if you look at the splatfests worldwide Callie has more wins under her belt, I wonder why.

I originally wanted to side with Planes, but the trolls posting 9/11 pics in Team Plane drove me to change my mind and side with team KARS instead.

I was in team cars and got to queen faster than I had in art vs science
But I was surprised that cars won

The results are a lie. I won 95% of my matches on Team Plane and I became a King. There were about 10 matches where I faced another team of Team Plane.

The calculation is off. Any others on Team Plane win nearly all their matches?

I am now thinking every single Splatfest has had fixed results.

Even if my team lost, at least my fave girl Callie won in this Splatfest and the one in Japan.

That may be a possible explaination for popularity but for NA, Marie got the popularity for Dogs, Waterslides and Planes and Science was very close popularity to Art so that can't be it. Would skilled players just pick the first choice they see? Again Hot Dogs and Decepticons say otherwise and Science also got close in skills.

Skilled or not, it's possible there are significant quantities of people who don't care which side they pick and will just go with whatever is displayed first to get the selection over with as soon as possible. It'd be the equivalent of those people who name things "AAAAAAA."

But yeah, I forgot there were a lot of cases, in each region, where Marie's option is more popular.

Then why did they have us waste time fighting our own teammates? It's ridiculous. What is the point of having those matches if they count for nothing?

I would rather have waited for a Team Car team to fight. And somehow Team Car wins? It makes no sense to me. I have only been on the winning side once, but I have been robbed of victory many times because of the stupid Splatfest scoring. I have never won more matches than during this Splatfest.

I am seriously annoyed. Killing my enthusiasm for the game.

Too many players on Team Planes, so instead of timing out and kicking everyone back to the lobby 'unmatched' teams are just paired off regardless of team alignment.

I devote this win to my wonderful husband who is a car enthusiast and can identify a car to its last detail.

That's really sweet. It's nice to dedicate a Splatfest to a loved one's personal interests.

I watched my brother play for Team Cars. His Mii name is Alpine and he's level 45. He ran into SwimmyBird once and my brother knew who he is apparently (I was told he's a streamer). He blew most of those 24 snails on rerolling his Rockenburg Shades, I guess it worked out cause he got a perfect 3x Super Jump speed on it.

Congrats to all who were in team car. I was beginning to wonder if I would have to wait til the next splatfest to win since my gear was still not optimized for splatfest turf wars.

You still get ranking points for completing the match, so it still counts for something.

The technology was still way up there, able to produce beautiful photorealistic scenery and such. The writing was not the best Pixar's done, but I personally believe it's better with repeat viewings. The worst Pixar movie if you ask me, besides Cars 2, is Brave.
