Cave Story - How to beat Blood-Stained Sanctuary?

Been a hot minute since I last attempted the Blood-Stained Sanctuary. Which part specifically are you having trouble with?

I think it helped me a lot getting better at avoiding the falling blocks at the start tbh, after that having the spur is also a big help, not much advice other than that though, I tried a lot for a while and eventually beat it, just try to not feel too bad if you lose at the end lol, it's possible to get back there

I have the spur, blade, and

the booster platforming is easy. i can do it without damage.

the block section is bad no matter if you go fast or slow.

the extra-long cherub section is fine, but i still need help

Sounds like you at least have everything you need. I feel like I generally did better on the block section whenever I went fast. If you feel like you need to damage boost through something, then try to make sure you get hit by the little angels instead of the block. Less damage. Also stay close to the ground.

And for the Heavy Press, less movement is better from what I remember. The hearts in the room before the Heavy Press also respawn iirc, so you can farm those by going back to the block room.

Sorry to not have much to add, I think generally for the final fight it's better to try and survive rather than be aggressive, generally remembering the attack patterns and taking your time finding openings will help you for future attempts in the case you die, and trying to attack every cycle can just lead to panicking after failing to do so and getting hit me thinks

I think the spur is the better weapon for this stage in general, since it's practically a laser beam and you already have pretty decent hovering boots by this point making the machine gun a bit redundant, though it would be a lot of trouble doing it from 0 since at that point you can't get the spur if you have the machine gun, I think.

Despite playing the game since I was around 10 I only completed the secret ending a year or so ago, mostly because I didn't bother to grind too much back then, and because I kept losing copies due to breaking my 3DS twice lol...
I've bought the game a total of 3 times not counting how I played the original for free on a laptop as a kid.

It IS an important game for me so I just bought it again every time I lost the chance to play it, at least the + version, since I could play the original for free technically
