As I've been playing, I use the Crusty Seanwich (50% exp increase) but I don't see it reflected in my actual exp gain throughout the matches. Can somebody tell me how this works?

it doesn't tell you but its just their on your points you'd have to do the math when you win you'll see it.

This is correct. The increase is accounted for the points that go into the bar.
