Discussion on a Splatoon League

It came to my attention that while their is tournaments frequently, I think it would be interesting to have an actual Splatoon League. By which I mean a ranking system, Divisions, and a regular season. All the while I would need a system of doing so as well as a general acceptance towards the Idea. As a result I am asking for your opinions as well as suggestions in the matter.
